The main idea of the rustic wedding Woodland Party was to bring the outdoors in and the people closer together. With that in mind, our chosen centerpiece was a long, wooden table with comfortable, white woven chairs. We wanted to encourage a feeling of sharing, and the communal table was the perfect way to open up guests into laughing and feasting together. It’s surprisingly intimate, and can even work for a cozy, laid-back dinner party.
Food always tastes better when shared with the best people, so we let this idea take over the spread on the table. Share plates were the highlight: a variety of fresh, decadent fares were served on wooden boards and barks. In addition, moss pots and vines mixed with modern elements brought a display of refinement. Our favorite pieces were the gorgeous leaf plates: they lent an earthy, romantic mood that enhanced the dining experience.
To frame the setting, we hung wild greens and florals over the table. It’s quite reminiscent of the way trees house you in outdoor picnics. Letting these organic elements flow throughout the setting really take on the woodland feel of the party. It also created a relaxed vibe, and we think that’s an important thing in events. Loosening up your guests so that they can have fun together is the starting point for all great parties–and as we’ve shown in this woodland shoot, the theme and design contribute a lot to achieving that.
We’ve poured all of our personalities into this setting and it’s definitely a piece that will hold a special place in our hearts for a while.
Thank you to all that contributed x
